Job Description

Our Valuation Department is seeking an Actuarial Analyst. As a member of our dynamic team, you will provide actuarial support for the valuation system.

The main responsibility is to work on a corporate initiative to transition the business of 6 administrative systems to a third party administrator from a valuation perspective. It consists of developing and implementing systems solutions to meet business objectives, in particular:
testing of valuation data extracts from the administrative systems, and associated valuation runs using Arcval, within targeted timeframes and using adequate controls
testing of administrative reports for consistency and accuracy
implement systems changes to accommodate new administration system, (write specifications, prepare test plans/cases, execute test cases, review results, fully document all phases of the installation)
update and implement valuation processes to accommodate new administration system
provide audit support for valuation system changes and attribute testing across multiple administrative systems




Requirements

Equivalent of 1-2 SOA exams
Bachelor s Degree in Mathematics or any related discipline

Actuarial experience overall in individual Life insurance or reinsurance is preferred.
Acquaintance with actuarial valuation of life insurance and health insurance is preferred.
High proficiency using MS Office applications.
Experience using SAS and SQL preferred.
Must be willing to learn other business and actuarial applications as needed to perform assigned duties effectively and efficiently.
